A homegrown Idaho girl, a self-taught artist, a wife to a wildland firefighter, a mother to two kids and two doggies, and an estranged caregiver of 16 hens (the cluckers prefer my husband). I also suffer with mental illness and slog through the swamp of darkness on a daily basis. Through the exercise of painting, mostly in watercolor, sometimes in acrylic and oil, I am able to thrive rather than just survive. Most of my work is generally representational or mannerist. Some work is abstract or just plain cute (gnomes and vintage trucks). Much of it is Idaho-centric, as I love my home state. However, I've lived in many gorgeous places like Utah, Alaska and Arizona. I love using vibrant color to paint landscapes, floral compositions, sports and adventure, and any subject matter which sparks positive moments or memories for me. Sharing myself through art brings me great joy.
